In 2003 Ben Hur was released as an animated film. It is the 1925 version that interests us as it was the most expensive silent film ever produce costing 3.9 million 1920's dollars which is worth about $33 million today. Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford were extras in the chariot race scene.
