What is the Shortest TV Commercial in the World?

Answer:

The world's shortest TV commercial is half a frame (one field) and lasts for 1/60 of a second. Canadian producer Tharanga Ramanayake created 12 different versions of the commercial, all advertising MuchMusic, a Canadian music and video TV channel. It was first aired on January 2, 2002. The previous record – a subliminal ad for Bon Marche's Frango sweets – was relatively lengthy at four frames long when it was aired on KING-TV's Evening Magazine (USA) on November 29, 1993.
